Children Ministry

Introduction

At Mount Hermon BP Church, our Children’s Ministry is dedicated to helping kids grow in faith, build lasting friendships, and discover God’s love in a fun, safe, and engaging environment.

Vision Statement

We believe that children are a gift from God and a vital part of the church today, not just the future. Our mission is to partner with families in nurturing a foundation of faith that will teach children to fear God, love and obey Him.

3-12 years old

Curriculum

We use The Biggest Story Curriculum by Crossway for Children’s Ministry Programme. Children will learn about the Bible’s overarching message so they can begin to appreciate the scope and fulfilment of God’s promises to his people.

Each week, children will attend the main service together with the congregation at 9.30am on Sundays. Before the sermon starts, children will be released to Sunday School where they will all gather for a time of singing praises to God as well as listening to the bible story for the week. Thereafter, primary school children will go to a separate room to learn more about the bible story while preschoolers will do craftwork. We also encourage Bible familiarization by teaching memory verses. Classes will be dismissed at about 10.45-11.00am.

Other activities the Children’s Ministry plans for are quarterly outings for parents and children to have more facetime outside of the Sunday School setting to interact and build relationships.
