“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition,
with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Philippians 4:6

“And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father.” John 14:13

The purpose of the prayer ministry is to actively encourage and promote prayer life within the church. Its aim is to help the people grow in the discipline of personal and corporate prayer life. By being responsive to the working of the Holy Spirit, we pray that God’s love, guidance and power would be released for the benefit of His people and to His glory.

Prayer Focus

There is a need for a spiritual revival where members will be more committed to attend prayer meetings regularly. Perhaps more prayer intercessors or prayer warriors can be formed to help members to experience the power of prayer in their personal life. Praying for personal needs can also be a regular feature in the prayer meetings. We will continue to encourage our leaders, CGs, youths and families to join our prayer meetings regularly. The prayer focus will support the prayer needs of the various ministries and the needs of the church leadership as well. The prayer ministry will also organise Prayer Retreats for the church to emphasize the need for corporate prayer in the church.

Join Our Prayer Meetings

People are encouraged to pray through the weekly prayer needs in our Hermon Herald. We also invite you to come for our prayer meetings which are on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays, 8:00 pm to 9:30 pm of every month. There is a specific prayer focus at every meeting. Please join us in a time of prayer! For more details on how you can join our prayer meetings, email us at church@hermon.org.sg
