Welcome to Mount Hermon
Bible-Presbyterian Church!

We are an inter-generational church which aims to build up our members and bless our community.
We believe that the faithful expository preaching of the word is central to the life of our church, and also conduct classes for those interested in discovering what the Christian faith is all about!
Our worship is a blend of traditional and contemporary styles, catering to the young and old, and that includes you!

How would a Wise Man build his House?

Date: 7 Mar, 2021
Speaker: Ps Luwin Wong
Text: 1 Kings 5 to 7

  1. Revere the glory of God’s house.
  2. Resist the glorification our own house.
  3. Remember that God’s house will be our home.

Reflection Questions:

  • There is a constant temptation to build our own house alongside God’s house in this world. How does the good news of the kingdom help us to resist this temptation?
  • The cross stands as a reminder that this life is not all there is, and this world is not our home. How does the humility, sacrifice and future-oriented glory of the cross transform the way you view your “house” in the world today?
  • Since the church is now the House of God, so building God’s house means building up the church. How can your time, talent, and treasure be invested in building Mt Hermon today?

Our purpose is to teach our children the Holy Scriptures that they may know God, love Him and His Word, and serve Him.
